Overview
StrongLight is an urban flower farm with an identity that holds two things at once: playful, dad-joke warmth on the surface, and real tenderness underneath. The system is built around a hand-drawn forget-me-not and a wordmark whose 'O' blooms into a five-petal flower, flexible enough to run from cheeky seed-packet copy to the quietest moments of grief.
The mark
The wordmark sets a friendly geometric sans against a flower-in-the-O, with a hand-lettered 'urban flower farm' curving beneath. Paired with loose botanical illustration, it feels grown rather than manufactured, equal parts field and studio.
Logo & color
One flower emblem, endless colorways. The bloom works as a badge, a monogram, or a sticker, and the palette pulls from real petals (mustard #E6C900, deep teal #226160, tan #BD9452, charcoal #373535, and soft lavender #D8CDE5 over warm creams) so the brand can be loud or gentle as the moment needs.
Type
A serif-and-sans pairing carries the split personality: Merriweather and Kalista for editorial warmth, Meltow San and La Marisa (the face beneath the logo) for clean, cheerful display. Type curves along squiggly baselines when the voice wants to smile.
Voice & Order Sluff
The voice is dad jokes, satire, and warmth: 'Life is hard, so join the club.' It powers Order Sluff, a delivery concept for people in grief. A 'sluff' is an avalanche that starts from a single point, the perfect metaphor for a sudden loss. Bouquets wrapped in the funnies, cards printed on the sleeve to cry on, flowers as a way to reach the people at the hardest end of the circle and let them know they aren't alone.
Packaging
StrongLight lives on the shelf as seeds in black packs, each with a cheeky headline ('I've got the magic sluff,' 'the sluff of legends'), a botanical illustration, and a compostable cellophane window to see the seeds. Sticker packs and scratch-and-sniff seed-packet stickers extend the range for marketing and merch.
In the world
Across social, stickers, and labels, the flower emblem and real bloom photography carry the brand: colorful and confident, with the same wink and warmth everywhere it shows up.
The story of Strong Light
Strong Light translates to the name Caroline Ellen, the sweetest, funniest baby, taken from this world far too soon. Every flower is planted and grown in her memory, so the world won't forget her. The whole identity carries her message forward: choose joy. Flowers help.
